So here I am in a Motel 6, about three hours from my house. Tomorrow we will go to Portland to visit Powell's Books (YAY), spend some time with family and then with friends on Sunday.
Why is this blog-worthy? Because I have a dual diagnosis disorder that makes me more comfortable in my own home. My husband and child think this is not good for me. And they are most likely correct.
So wish me luck. And no panic. And good finds at Powell's.

The easy answer has always been that Indigenous People's history did not add to the development of the Western World. The reality is, however, that what was happening in North America before the arrival of the Europeans and the Scandanavians had a huge impact on the development of the United States and its eventual role as a world power.
It is a necessary history.
